Auto Complete doesn't work occasionally

I have a couple of users who notice that periodically when you type in the
first three letters of the address it doesn't auto populate but it will work
for other names in the NK2 list. I have even verified that the name and/or
address exists in the list. The versions of Outlook in use is XP(2002). Is
there a limit or a way to stop this from happening?

Any help is much appreciated.

The limit is 1,000. But your description does not fit with known behavior.
After 1,000 entries are eliminated in a FIFO algorithm.

Yeah he is well short of 100 entries.
