Auto Complete and Data Entry in Combo Box

In need of help....

I have a series combo boxes in my form that are programmed to auto fill based
on a selection in the first combo box. Am I restricted to the auto fill or
can users enter data that is not in the underlying table?

Depends on how you set up the combo boxes. Are their "Limit to List"
properties set to Yes or No? How are you "auto filling" them?
