Auto-bulleting no longer works

Hello all. Not long ago, the auto-bulleting feature (e.g. typing a "-"
results in an automatic indent and subsequent bulleting) stopped working. I
may have inadvertently changed settings, but nothing I can find will allow me
to change it back. Any ideas? Thanks!
 
The location of the setting varies by version, but in Word 2002 and 2003,
find the "Automatic bulleted lists" check box on the AutoFormat As You Type
tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options.
