Auto archiving imported e-mails.

Hi,

Having just changed to a new computer I have imported all my old e-mails
from the old computer into Outlook 2003 running on the new one. I used
Outlook Express on the old computer, so I transferred the dbx files to the
new computer, reconfigured Outlook Express on the new computer and then
imported to Outlook 2003.

Auto archive just doesn't work on the old e-mails. Works fine on e-mails
created by Outlook 2003 but won't touch the old e-mails. I expect it's not
recognising the received or sent by dates properly, but they all seem to be
correctly reported.

Anyone any ideas. I know I can do it manually but it's just a niggle.

Outlook uses the "last modified" date on messages when archiving messages
automatically. When you import messages, the "modified date" will be changed
to the date that you imported the messages. Therefore, you will need to wait
the appropriate amount of time to pass in order to have your messages
archived automatically. I would just go ahead and archive them manually.
