I'm charged with creating the Book.XLT file that will be deployed
throughout the company. We threw in our default font type and size, as
well as our company chart fill and line colors.
During beta testing, one use noticed that my own personal Author Name
showed up in his new workbooks that he created off of the Book.XLT
file I created.
So, I went back to Book.XLT and replaced the Author information in
Tools / Options / General / User name with our company name.
After saving the Book.XLT file again and redeploying it to our beta
testers, the same author problem was found.
Am I changing the user name in the wrong place? Is there another place
I need to change this information? I need to make sure that the
Book.XLT file is as generic as possible, since every user in the
company will be creating workbooks from it.
Best,
