We have an exchange organization (company.com) and a child domain
(west.company.com) that is vpn connected to the root site.

When a user in the child domain stars outlook and hits send/receive for
the first time, OAB synchronization is attempted.

However, outlook asks for credentials when contacting the root server
(OAB is stored at root server) although the users are logged into the
child domain.

The username has to be entered as west\username, i suspect this might be
a problem.

Any idea how I can get rid of the second login ? The users are kind of
annoyed.

Thank You,

Ligiu Uiorean

Try posting this in an Exchange group - microsoft.public,exchange.admin
might be a good starting place.
