Authentic Pizza Bases

Finally! :D Last week I made the first proper pizza on the stone, and it worked ok(-ish)!


The problem was that I ran out of flour to roll the dough on (really daft, I know!) so I ended up having to use cornmeal which wasn't quite as good as the dough was a bit too sticky (I've bought in loads more flour this time ;)).

Anyway, it tasted really nice but the shape of the base was somewhat lacking due to it being impossible to roll when the sticky. :lol: Lesson learned for next time though :D

Who cares what it looks like, homemade is ALWAYS nicer, more tasty, more healthy & fun. :D

There are a load of "meals" you can bake on the stone too. :thumb:

Don't worry about the shape Ian, that looks a really tasty pizza, so well done :thumb: I agree with Mucks, home made has much more flavour than the "cardboard" stuff you buy in packets. Hmmm, somehow I think it will be pizza for lunch here today too, after seeing that! :D

Is that Mozerella I spy on that base with tomato and Olives and Ham, you just made me hungry...I'm off to rustle something up now...:nod:

Yup, tomatos + herb sauce, then palma ham and olives with mozzarella on top :)
