Audit Trail In Subform

W

Williams

I would like to keep track of all edits and deletions in a subform. I have
inserted the Allen Browne code in the Before Update Event of the subform. If
I make changes to records when I have the subform opened independantly, the
updates work beautifully. However, when I make changes to the records when
the form is opened as a subform I receive an error message. (Error #2465
Description: Microsoft Access can't find the field 'Updates' referred to in
your expression.")

Any ideas on how I can update this code so it will track the changes in my
subform?

Presumably we are talking about this article:
Audit Trail - Log changes at the record level
at:
http://allenbrowne.com/AppAudit.html

I use this with subforms, so something else must be going on. Is there
really a field named 'Updates'? Is it an updatable field? Or is it Update
(which is a reserved word.)
