for anyone out there...

My laptop is running on windows XP Home edition. the softwared provided with
the laptop. Right now my audio volume is really low... I wonder wats wrong
with the system, I have raised the bars to the max in every audio player,
currently i have windows media player 10, real player 10.5 , music match
jukebox audio player and winamp running on my computer, recently i noticed
that i cant hear the volume even using a decent headphone, what could be the
problem?? is there a master volume control that would adjust the volume of
the system to the previous level??
pls let me know ,
thanks
JD

Maybe:
Feel around on the side of the laptop for a volume control.
It seems to blend into the machine, lots of folks miss it.

Just in case you missed the master control...

Start | Run <type in> SNDVOL32.EXE <enter>

It should be in your systray, if not you can access it in the
control panel\sound and audio.

To allow direct access from the taskbar notification area go to
Start\Control Panel\Sounds,Speech & Audio Devices\Sounds and Audio Devices
and in the volume
tab check box "Place volume icon in notification area"

This will allow adjustments to system volume settings without having to open
Control Panel. I have found this to be handy as several media player
programs such as Musicmatch & the like will change the wave volume settings
when using the programs built in volume control. This may have been what
occurred with you. The individual program may be at max volume but the wave
volume setting could be at minimum.
