Here is my problem....

When my computer is idle or i'm just surfing the web without and music
playing or anything... I hear a static noise from my center and right/left
speakers. I have all the latest drivers for my motherboard, audio, video,
windows, etc... Anyone know a way to fix this?

Thanks...

Sounds like it is either a noisy amp on the sound card or a noisy amp in the
speaker setup. Headphones plugged into the card directly may reveal a noisy
card problem, or a swap with another set of speakers.

If the motherboard has onboard sound you can't swap the card out because
there isn't one, but you could fit a better quality one in a slot if you
have a spare one. I'd ask around for recommendations or read some reviews if
it turns out to be the computer at fault and see what card options you have.
