Audio is coming through Mono Only

I'm currently trying to create a video using both an avi (video only) and an
mp3 sound file. I put them on the story board together and every time i save
the file it outputs the audio to only my right speaker. I've ran the file
through an audio manager and it is a stereo output file and can be heard
through both speakers when played alone. Any ideas?

Use WAV audio, as mp3 is a common cause of problems.

What are you listening to your movie with though?
Is it on your pc?
On a dvd on a dvd player?
If a dvd, how did you make this? Using what audio settings?

I tried it using a wav file as well and got the same result. I'm listening to
the movie through my pc. the wav file is a 2 channel 44100 stereo file so i'm
really quite baffled. When i preview it through moviemaker i can hear it in
both speakers but once its actually saved as a file it turns to mono.
