AUDIO HARDWARE GONE AWOL

Since installing XP Pro, media player says it cannot play audio as it cant
find audio hardware. Device manager says all audio codecs etc are installed
and working. Does anybody know the problem and how to sort it.

Have you installed XP audio drivers for your specific sound card??
usually found on the sound card manufacturers website

I have the same problem. After installing xp pro The
sound card is not detected. As was stated earlier all the
codecs seem to be installed. Can anyone help??

||I have tryed to manually install the hardware and sound
drivers. I have checked the bios and the hardware is
turned on. Still no luck.

I will repeat my question...........XP SOUND CARD DRIVERS???
What does it show besides your soundcard under device manager....??
A red X or a yellow exclamation point???
Is the sound card listed at all??
