Audio Error

Whenever i try to open WMM it says "Windows Movie Maker cannot be used
because the required audio hardware cannot be found" . . . everything
is plussed in plz help

Do you have sound card/drivers installed?

if you don't know, then can u play music on your system? windows media player, or winamp etc?

If no, then install, if you can, then go into WMM, and into settings/properties, and change ur
sound input/output to windows default sound driver/device

Shouldn't sound come with the computer? Is the media device something
seperate? I thought the software package contained everything you need for
basic usage? I can hear sounds, but when I put in a DVD I get the no audio
hardware message too! Why do I need a sound card if I can hear sound, like
when the system prompts?
