Audigy card not detected after Vista install

Hi - I had XP Pro installed for a long time and all devices worked perfectly
up until yesterday when I installed a retail version of Vista Ultimate. I
have experimented with all the Beta versions in the past and while the
Creative drivers were 'iffy' at best, they did at least work. However,
after doing a fresh installation yesterday, my Audigy card isn't even
DETECTED. I didn't even have a 'sound, video, and game controllers' entry
until I installed the drivers for my Hauppauge WinTV 250 card, and now that's
all that's in there. No other yellow exclamation points, no 'unkown
hardware' nothing. I've tried taking out and reseating the card several
times, gone into safe mode to make sure no old versions of the driver are
there, made sure onboard audio is disabled, and re-installed the drivers
using the original install CD so I can upgrade to the Vista drivers from
there. Nothing has worked. I cannot get Vista to find the card at all when
it was just working perfectly in XP minutes before.
Anyone know anyway to force a find of a card?

Thanks,

Mike

I'm not certain from your post whether you installed the beta drivers from
Creative's site:

http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

I'm not certain, but if I remember correctly, when I installed Vista here, I
also got nothing in Device Manager (yellow exclamation) on my Audigy 2.
I've had no problem with those beta drivers at all.
