After installing Audacity v.1.2.6 on windows xp my computer is not
able to make any sounds.
Before installing Audacity everything worked.
Somebody told me that it is because I have windows media player 11
installed ???
I have deinstalled media player 11, but still no sounds.
If I restore the backup of the system disk (backup taken just before
installing Audacity) sound works again, but I need Audacity to play
old music records - so what do I do??

Audacity cohabits perfectly with WMP11, 10 all that you want.

What exactly do you mean "not able to make any sounds" ? No system sounds ?
WMP not playing ?

Make sure that you've selected the correct input source for Audacity and
nothing is muted on the mixer.

Jerry
