Attention MSVP Brian A

Jim Cladingboel

Having made extensive checks through DevMan, I have found that both the Via
USB Enhanced Host Controller and the Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host
Controller now contain the following drivers:
USBEHCI.SYS, USBHUB.SYS & USBPORT.SYS. Of these, only USBPORT.SYS indicates
that it is a USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 driver.
The two USB 2.0 Root Hubs both contain USBHUB.SYS as sole driver.
However, my 740 MB "test" file still takes 100 seconds to transfer, whether
via the PCI card or the mobo Hub, so I only have USB 1.0 capability.
Do you have any other news re this problem?
Is there anything in Registry which might be modified/removed or whatever in
order to get this device working properly?
Is there any other means of installing drivers other than the Wizard?
Can this be done in the Registry?
Is there any new USB 2.0 driver in Vista which might work in XP?

I look forward to your answers,

Jim

Have you checked the cable from port to device is USB 2 and not USB 1?

Hope this helps.

Gerry,

The cable was supplied by Seagate together with the EHDD, so I think I can
rule that one out. But thanks for the thought.

Meantime, seems the MSVPs have given up!

I've struggled with this problem for the last five month, and there's still
no answer.....

Jim.
