Attempt to use forms crashes Access

I'm looking fora way to recover from this without having to re-create the db.

What happened is the following:

I was trying to create a form to act as a menu, with clickable buttons to
run a report, or add records.
However, whenever I tried to save the form, the program would crash. I did
that a few times, until now whenever I even click on Forms, the program
crashes. Without error message. The program also crashes when I attempt to go
to the Startup settings via the menu.
Everything else seems to be working fine.

The name I had chosen for my form was "menu". Could that be the cause of my
troubles?
If so, or even if not, does anybody have any suggestions as to how to get
rid of this problem? I woud be much obliged.

Thank you.

import all objects except the startup form to a new db. Compact &
Repair and try again.

Oh, I should probably add that that form was never saved, so it never even
showed up under Forms, which also means I never had the chance to set it as
the startup form.

Ok, I did that, and even though the new db also crashed when I clicked on the
Froms tab in the import dialog box, when I skipped that, it imported fine,
and the new db appears to be in perfect working order.

Incidentally, the database file has shrunk by a factor of more than 10...

So thank you for this idea. However, I'd still like to know why and how this
happened, ie. if the form name is to blame, or if there are other reasons, so
if anybody can provide any insight, please post.

Thank you.
