WinMail will show image attachments below the message if they are not
embedded.

That may be a problem with your internet provider's DNS server,
in which case you'll be unable to reach any site by using the site
name, but still able to reach sites by using their 4-part IP number.

Windows Mail doesn't handle connections to Hotmail. You may want
to download and install Windows Live Mail, which handles Hotmail
in addition to all the types of accounts Windows Mail will handle:

If you have any questions about Windows Live Mail, a better place
to ask them is newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

When I select the paperclip or file attachment, my pic is still embedded in
the e-mail as well as showing up as a link. How can I get rid of the
embedded pic?

I am doing what you suggested: "Click on the paperclip icon
or Insert - File Attachment" and I still am getting an embedded pic in my
e-mail. I am not selecting "Insert Picture". Help?

Windows Mail and most other email clients will always show any
picture attachment. There is no way to inhibit that behavior.

when i received a mail with pictures attached, they will be showed up in the
mail, how to set that can avoid the pictures showed in the mail?? because if
there are too many pictures attached, my computer frozen... could you reply
me to my mail: (e-mail address removed) thanks!

Not sure if this will work, but try:
Tools, Options, Read, "Read all messages in plain text".
As a side effect of that setting, incoming HTML messages may be badly
rendered.
