attatching documents to outgoing e-mail

I am attatching documents to outgoing e-mail and it is defaulting to the body
of the letter -- I would prefer it to attatch in the subect line or
attatchment line how do I set that up in outlook 2003
 
This only happens when Outlook is set use Rich Text Format rather than HTML
or plain text. Check Tools | Options -> Mail Format. Additionally, check
that each of your recipients have the Internet Format option set to "Let
Outlook Decide" rather than "Outlook Rich Text" for their e-mail address.

Stop using RTF format for e-mails.
