opening attatchments

How do is set windows media player to be my default player for opening
attatchments with video or music? i downloaded real player recently and must
have set it to be the default by accident. real player has worked fine until
recently, but now when i try to open an attatchment, real player player pops
up and does nothing. says program is not responding when i close it down with
the task manager. i know that windows media player works fine with
attatchments, and would like to make it open all my attatchments from now on

In Media Player go to the Tools menu > Options command. Check out the File
Types tab. You should be able to select the extensions that Media Player
claims
