I am having a problem with my IE browser and when i
receive an email with anattachment. I can download the
file to my hard drive but when i want to open it from the
source it does not respond. It happens with all
attachments(pics, word docs, ppt etc). Is there a setting
within IE that controls this?

In OE go to Tools | Options | Security and uncheck "Do not allow
attachments...".

Please read these articles:

If that doesn't fix it,
From Jim Pickering:

You might try this and see if it helps:

1. Click Start->Run, type "regedit" (without quotations) in the Open
box and click OK.

2. Browse to this registry key:

<HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express>

3. From the right pane, search for a value named BlockExeAttachments.

4. If you find the BlockExeAttachments value, right click it and choose
Modify and delete the number in the Value data box.

5. Restart Outlook Express and try again.
