Attachments to a custom form

I created a custom form (using the message form) and I want to be able to add
file attachments (paperclip function) - but- can't figure out how to get this
function (action) to work. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Please note I am learning this as I go...so..the easier the directions..the
better.

Add the message control (the big box, aka Notes or Message field on the Field Chooser) back to your form.
