attachments show as icons in body of email, why?

Email attachments are now showing in the body of the email as an icon instead
of under the "Subject" area at the top of the email. Can someone tell me how
to change this?

From all senders or from just one sender? Ask to to quit using
Rich-Text Format (RTF) when they write their e-mails. RTF is okay when
sending e-mails within the same Outlook-Exchange organization but not
when sending e-mail via the Internet. Tell them to use HTML or
plain-text format.
