Attachments not recieved

Sometimes when I send an e-mail with a .doc attachment, the attachment does
not arrive to the person I sent the e-mail to. The e-mail arrives but no
attachment. Why?
 
Version of Outlook? Message format being used? Switch to Plain Text and see
if it still happens.

-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1
 
Using Word as the e-mail sometimes plays a role in this as well, so consider
disabling if the switch to plain text doesn't solve.
