attachments not getting to destination

Reading through several posts about attachments I seem to have found the
solution to my particular issue.

The issue was with Outlook 2000. When sending an email with an attachment,
the attachment would not make it to it's destination. The email itself would
make it. When I would look in the Sent Items Box, the email with attachment
would be there.

The solution was as simple as going in to options/mail format and changing
from "rich text" to "plain text". I'm not sure why that is an issue, but it
was the solution in this case.

The reason this is an issue is that only Outlook reads rich text format
(which is set as the Outlook default). Non-Outlook clients have problems
seeing it. Also, if you use Word as your email editor and Outlook is not the
same version, that could cause the problem too.
You can also change your format to HTML which is fine for other clients.
