Attachments .lnk

Iam using outlook express, when attaching documents they are inserted or
attached as a .lnk file, instead of .doc or .xls, to my knowledge nothing has
changed I cant find how to correct this

When you bring up the dialog to attach a document, there is a checkbox in
the lower left. Is that box checked?

The check box is unchecked, what I discovered was I was attaching files out
of my Recent folder instead of MY Documents.
