Attachments in Webmail

ie5 sp2
win xp

when trying to attach a file in yahoo webmail, i can browse and find the
file, but when i click 'attach files' to take me back to the message window,
a small popup window says 'invalid file specified. Please try again.'

This is a brand new computer. The only thing I did was try the beta verion
of ie7. anything there that could be causing problems?

The "only thing" you did was install beta software??
If you think it may be caused by IE7 Beta, then perhaps ask in the IE7
group.

I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:

Okay, point taken. What may not have been clear is that I then removed ie7.
So maybe this is an ie7 questions but this is happening in ie6 now, so that's
why I posted it to this group.

Many have problems after uninstalling IE7. If you cannot restore your
system to a point before that, then please try the IE7 group.
Many here are not familiar with the problems IE7 causes, both
installed and uninstalled.

I found that if you just go into the settings of Internet Explorer and
set the security and advanced setting to DEFAULTS it will work again.
