Attachment Manager blocks files not on list

Why does Attachment Manger block .ads and .adb files?

Can Attachment Manger be configured to allow or block specific extensions?

Neither of these files are listed in article 883260.

Additionally, the files are downloaded from an internal web server located
on the same subnet which would lead one to believe it was a "local intranet"
server which should bypass the Attachment Manager.

I am trying to open a shortcut that I made. For some reason it will not open.
Is there somthing I can change that will allow it to be opened? It is just a
Yahoo game!
