Does anyone know why an attachment inserted as text is
all code marks in Outlook 2000/2002/2003? My Word
document is a very simple file with 2 paragraphs. Within
my email message when I click Insert/File and highlight
the file to "Insert as Text," I get just garbled
results. I've tried using RTF, HTML, and Plain
Text, but I get the same garbled results. I realize I
can copy/paste, but I would really like to use
this "Insert as Text" feature.

Thanks!

does it look like it does if you open the file in notepad? it should, since
that is plain text... copy and paste is better for files that aren't plain
text.

It was a very, very simple Word document. I really think
the answer is that I need to use Word as my editor in
Outlook (which I really don't want to do). Once I changed
to that, inserting a file as text worked perfectly.

Thanks!
