attachement problems

In Outlook, I have always been able to view my attachements with no problems.
In the last 2 days, my emails show that I have attachements and I click on
the little paperclip, but the attachements show in the light grey that I
cannot click on. Any suggestions as to what the deal is? Thanks!
 
Please advise what version of Outlook you're using and whether you connect to
a pop3 server or Exchange. Thanks!
 
Outlook 2000, and it is a POP3 account, thanks!

Does this happen for all attachments no matter what the file extension or
just some? In other words, is there any pattern at all or is it all
attachments?
 
I have only noticed it when the attached file is a PDF, but those are all the
files that I have recieved. Do you think it might be a firewall thing?
