I am emailing 2 small files with Outlook. The file properities change in the
email process. The file properities on my pc are READ ONLY, however when
received by receiptant the Archieve box is checked. The receiptant manually
must remove archieve status. Ideally, I want to send the file to the
receipant with ARCHIEVE = FALSE. Can anyone assist.

Do you even know what the Archive property on a Windows file signifies? It
means the file has changed or is new and has not yet been backed up. Of
course a new file on the recipient's machine (the attachment the got from
you is certainly new to their machine) is going to have the Archive attibute
set.
