Ati X600 memory 128 instead of 256

I've a "dual boot" PC with vista Beta 2 and XP Pro both with 64bit version.
On XP the video adapter information display 256 Mb of memory but on Vista
only 128 Mb (Both Catalyst center and Windows System information) . I've
installed the ATI drivers for Vista beta 2.

This "bad information" comes from the driver ? Previously I had a X300 with
128 Mb.

It's the new math -
my X200M has 128MB built in + 128MB shared, for a total of 384MB according
to Vista, so apparently 1+1=3 now.
the latest ATI drivers don't work with my card. I'm using the ones that came
with Vista
