ATI Video TV Cards??

Hi, I am new here and I am ignorant....regarding the ATI TV Cards.

I currently run a PNY Geforce MX card with 32 megabytes that runs all my
games just fine. My PC is a 1 gig AMD with 256meg o ram.

What I want is a graphics card that runs all my games as well as the card I
have now but.....I also want the card to have TV functions so I can record
directly from my TV. I am looking for an ATI card or other brand in the $100
to $150 price range.
Any recommendations?

You may like an All In Wonder 64MB 9000 Pro if you can find one. Cost me
~$200CDN on sale(~$150USD) 5 months ago. I use it in my multimedia PC (home
built) and have used it for recording TV programs. Good picture on my
Toshiba 32" TV.. Also has TV on demand feature where if you are watching a
live broadcast event (Superbowl for instance) and you have to leave for a
bit, hit the pause button on the ATI remote, and when you return it will
play from where you paused. Records to the hard drive, then slowly speeds up
(you can hardly notice) until you are "live".

Comes with a AVI cable to to hook up video cameras/VCRs for audio video
capturing.
Please note that 1 hour TV programs can consume a large amount of disk space
depending on the quality you wish to record. My record format is set to VCD
which takes about 613-625MB of hard drive space. It then can be burnt onto a
CD if required then deleted. I installed a secondary 120 GIG 7200 RPM
Western Digital with 8 MB of cache for this card.

I had a GeForce Mx400 but the "Mx" (I found) was a fine business ap card.
The GeForce Ti series of cards were better for gaming IMHO. If you decide on
the ATI, go for the "Pro" cards as they have better performance.

What type of motherboard, sound card, and OS are you running? The TV part
requires an "audio in" on the sound card so you can hear what is on the TV.

Only problem I am having with mine is that I have to hook up a computer
monitor if I require any BIOS changes as the TV looks like a JUMBLED MESS OF
GARBAGE when I access the BIOS with only the TV connected. Aparently ATI is
"aware of the problem" and looking at a fix.
