ATI released bets Catalyst drivers for it's Radeon 9700 yesterday which take advantage of the technology used in DirectX 9, which was also released in Release Candidate form yesterday.
All Radeon 9000 or 9700 users can pick these up, but they probably still have quite a few bugs in them. Finally, everyone will actually be able to run those amazing demos ATi put out which showcase the DirectX 9 capabilities of the new Radeons.

In other ATi news, they also announced that they are the first graphics company to support Intel's Hyperthreading technology. More info about that, here.
