Ati Radeon 9700 Pro Bios question

Does anyone know what the difference(s) are between the radeon 9700
pro Bioses. There appear to be 2 of them with part numbers
113-94206-101 - august 2002
113-94206-102 October 2002
Did a file compare and there are only 75 differences between the codes
TIA

I have one of the earlier cards with the 101 bios (samsung 3.6ns ram)
and it wil not overclock even a little. It runs fine on my Asus A78NX
dlx board at agp 8x and 256 aperature settings

Powerstrip..
I went ahead and flashed the Bios to the newer version...no problems.
I think there is a smoother transition when switching modes but other
than that not much difference. I guess I am just the type to want
everything up to date (in other words, a tinkerer), but I did get the
willies messing with a $300 card. What I like most about the 9700pro
is the stunning visual quality, 2D and 3 D. At least when flashing my
MB bios, I have a Bios saviour to fall back on in case of a bad flash

If you are a brave soul and are sure your card can take it, you can
get an editing program, (bios and editing proggies at
www.omegacorner.com change the clock speeds and then burn the Bios.
not being that adventurous, I prefer to play a bit with the powerstrip
program.

Goof luck
