ATI Multimedia Center 8.5 or higher available?

Hi All,

My ATI Multimedia Center 7.9 has been running nicely for quite some
time till it (or someone nasty here) put a password to my TV channels.

When I unistalled and reinstalled, it seems the channel passwords are
automatically installed (or re-initiated?), so I can't watch my channels
now, sigh.

I saw on Google that a new Multimedia Center 8.5 (or higher version?) was
available, but I never succeeded in finding the download site.

Being a legitimate ATI All-In-Wonder purchaser, I just thought I was
inclined for a free upgrade.

Would anybody here know where to get the 8.5 (or any higher) release?

During the uninstall there should be a screen prompt that asks whether you
want to retain custom settings. If you answer "yes", then all settings are
saved so you don't have to redo them when you upgrade.

Unless you want to go into the registry, the only way to remove a parental
password lockout is to completely remove the MMC software. When the
un-install asks if you want to retain custom settings, say "no".

"Back in Black"... or should I say "white noice"???

I hope you read this, MrMoke, as I hope you can clarify another issue
I'm struggling here.

I uninstalled everythinh here, and went straight through a new signal
scanning here. The odd thing is, when I do a quick scan (from my cable
TV Network cable), I get 5-6 perfect signals (in PAL format - Europe
here).

BUT, I of course wish all 40 channels through here, so I do an
"exhaustive"
scan, *and* I get the all, *but* I get only a brief 1 sec long perfect
picture,
the they all turn into "white noice", when I browse them????

In mosaic view, the all turn out fine.

Alas, I go a fine tune the "Video settings" on the channels
individually, and
much to my surprise it reads NTSC here??? Even though I chance to
PAL-B, as
I should, only the "coarseness" of the "white noice" changes.

I've been studying both the ATIMMC.mdb database with luck and my
registry
without any idea of how to bring a perfect PAL signal in through the
"exhaustive" scan.

Would you know, MrMoke??? Please, I'm desparate here :(

PS It seems you didn't register here under a working e-mail address.
If
you like, you can address me under (e-mail address removed).
