ATI have fully released their latest bit of technology - the ATI Crossfire. It is ATI's answer to nVidia's SLI (Scalable Link Interface). Announced in June, the Crossfire set-up allows users to have two identical graphics cards running together. This is, in essence, the same as nVidia's SLI technology. However, ATI promises to take the concept even further by improving performance, graphics rendering and even the ability to mix-and-match ATI GPUs to name but a few features. It has been suggested that it is these advancements that caused the release of the ATI Crossfire to fall so far behind nVidia SLI.
