ATI 9800 Pro vrs 9800 Pro XT????????

Can somebody explain the big difference between these two video cards. Is
the $300 difference for the XT worth it??? I would like to hear from anyone
who has actually used both!! Thanx Santa

A little higher clock speeds for the XT and an additional 128mb of memory
and a factory o/c feature. Most 9800pro's will clock to the same speeds
though.

No need to upgrade if you have a 9800pro.

The major difference is that the XT has a chip made by a different
manufacturing process from the Pro that allows higher clock speeds. It
also has temperature monitoring that allows the drivers to adjust the
clock speed in accordance with the temperature.

It it worth $300 difference? Given that the Pro goes for $300 I'd say
no--it's not worth twice the price.

Don't buy the 9800 XT for anything unless it is less than $350.00. Got my
9800 Pro for $300.00 at Best Buy and the XT is not worth the extra $200.00.
