Hello everyone,
I just upgraded to athlon64 with MSI K8N Neo Platinum motherboard. In
the BIOS, I made sure the onboard LAN is ENABLED. But I couldn't
connect to the internet (after reactivation). In contorl panel -
network connections, there was only a 1394 connection.

When I put my old Network card in, it recognized it and I can connect
to the internet. It shows up in network connections.

How can I get winxp to recognize the onboard LAN connection?

Thanks
Ed

Bart, you need to install the "MSI Nforce3 System Drivers". These will be
on the CD that came with the mobo, or get the latest version from the MSI
website here:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_list.php?part=1

You should also consider updating the BIOS on that board, the current
official BIOS version is 1.4.
BTW, here is a link to the MSI forum specifically for this board. I think
you will get more help there than you will here:
http://forum.msi.com.tw/

Click on AMD64 nVidia Based board forum.

Good luck

Install the on-board NIC's drivers provided by the motherboard's
manufacturer.
