I'm looking to buy the above CPU, but have a question.

I was under the impression that the 754 pin chips had 1MB cache and the 939
pin had 512KB cache. I've read this before and I just checked AMD's website
( http://tinyurl.com/ytmjw ) and sure enough, they agree.

So how come it is that everywhere I look (Newegg, Mwave, etc.) their 754
pin 3200+ chips are all 512KB?

Can someone straighten me out?

Thanks.

Older 3200+ chips are "Clawhammer" with IMb cache & 2.0GHz.
Newer chips are "Newcastle" with 512K cache but at 2.2GHz.
