My computer has an ATA 100 controller. Would an ATA 133 Maxtor hard drive be
compatable? Would the drive function? Are the ATA 100 and ATA 133 cables the

The Maxtor drive will be compatible, it however will only perform at ATA100
speed. The cables are compatible.
If your master drive is not going to be the new Maxtor drive and the you
original drive is not a Maxtor, then jumper settings may be an issue.
