ASUS P5S800-VM M/B

I have installed many of these motherboards without any problems, but today
after I have built this system I have noticed that when the system is shut
down, the mouse and keyboard lights are still on, this has never happenned
with any of the other P5S800-VM boards.
Also something else I have noticed is that when the system starts up, the
cpu fan would start then slow down and go fast again.
Any idea's? I have tried finding something in the manual but nothing
mentions power, I have changed the power state in the BIOS to S1, S3 and
auto and still does the same thing.

Just an update, this keyboard and mouse are USB with PS/2 adaptors on them,
I have plugged in the keyboard to USB only and the light goes off on the
keyboard now but not the mouse, the customer has PS/2 keyboard and mouse so
I'm not going to tell them to buy another with USB.
