Many monitors have their own internal timers that will
monitor came with some kind of software and you might want
to check that first. On the M.S. KNOWLEDGEBASE this
problem is not a rare one and I believe it picks on NVIDIA
cards more than others. Also the CHIPSETS on your new
motherboard make a difference. In your BIOS SET UP SCREEN
there is a tab for power management and this should be
checked to ensure it is not timed for shutdown on the
video. According to M.S. K.B. SUPPORT, there are several
motherboard types and chipsets that prevent
monitor "wakeup". You might check they're listing under
compatible hardware. One other ghastly thought,
motherboard or CPU overheating. Intel boards and AMD CPUs
have that reputation. Do you have enough cooling fans in
your unit? Is the CPU-fan running? Last ugly thought.P.S.
