Most likely just supporting different slotkets/tualatin processors.

I contacted them a few months ago to see if they were planning on upgrading
the bios to recognize hard drives over 137gig. They told me they're not
providing any more support for this type of motherboard. Which is too bad
because I still have one and think it's a great board.

I contacted them with a few bugs too, that never got fixed in any of the
1006.xxx revisions.

I wish they'd just release 1006 final.
