ASUS Motherboards - Quality or Goofballs?

So why did my Biostar have those design flaws?

According to who?

? Would you want a want
something that relied on just a single wire to deliver 8-9 amps to the
CPU?

That depends. What gauge wire?
BTW I did verify this with a clamp-on amp probe.

OK. You verified what? Not that I'm calling you a liar. But I would be
shocked to learn that any biostar board had a major design flaw. What
specific model and revision are you talking about? -Dave

If Asus is crap, what do we have to buy to be sure we get the good
stuff -- SuperMicro?

K-Tel presents, the super-duper MB! Not only will it hold your CPU, but it
makes julian fries as well.

If you order now, we'll include the salad shooter as well.

FWIW, I've seen a lot more "system builders" that are lucky to know
which end of the screwdriver goes into the screwhead than I have seen
boards that needed to be RMA'd due to manufacturer defect. The funny
thing is those "system builders" always have a high opinion of their
own capabilities and blamed any problems they caused on their tools
or equipment/material.

There was a webforum I spent some time in a year or so ago. The kids in
there would do "custom builds", with the overwhelming majority of the effort
going into getting the right color blinking lights and reflective surfaces.
Oh yeah, and seeing who could stuff the most cables underneath the mainboard
(cuz seeing the cables is a sign of a poor build donchaknow!).
