Anyone here using the Asus A8V Deluxe board and a dual-core processor? And
if you are, any problems flashing the bios and getting the X2 to run? How
about the Sata Raid 0?

I'm running an A8V Deluxe with SATA RAID0 without problems. Not running
an X2, just an plain vanilla Venice A64.

FWIW
On the ASUS site is a link to tw where you can get history. I updated
to 1017 but I think 1009 is listed as having the support for X2. i
went from a 3500 to a 4400 X2 without any problems..

I ran an A8V Deluxe, an X2 4400+, and Raid 0 on the Via controller, all
without problems. (I've since gone to a PCI-E mainboard.)

The X2 was installed as an upgrade from a 3500+ "Newcastle", so I had the
opportunity to upgrade the BIOS to the latest before installing the X2. I
expect that the EZ Flash BIOS update method might have worked, even if the
installed BIOS was too old. (support.asus.com lists the required BIOS
versions to run all of the supported CPUs.)
