Asus A7V8X with APIC problems

Hi


The motherbord have 1 Gig memory and a AMD 2700+ athlon processor.
With Bios set to default., and when installing winxp pro after 10 % copying files the system locked up.

After set APIC in PIC (bios) then xp installing.

What is wrong with this motherboard?

nothing is wrong..technically. It is just a fluke that does occur randomly
with some motherboards. Disabling APIC allows install?
I happen to have a motherboard that will not allow an XP install with APIC
enabled...have read extensively on it..it is not a maker ,chipset nor model
issue it just happens...have been trying for a month now for an RMA with
Asus..but since it is not totally dead they do not want it back.Am thinking
of changing motherboard companies if they do not RMA it.
