ASUS A7V600 power hiccup during cold boot.

I've recently installed a refurb ASUS A7V600. The machine works fine,
but I have a strange problem during a cold reboot. When the power
button is pressed, the system begins to power up just fine. Hard
drives power up, fans start to spin, etc. However, after about 7
seconds, I get a 'hiccup'. You can hear a noticible slow-down in
everything that's spinning. This only lasts a second or two, then
everything spins back up to normal speed and all is well.

It's actually a bit difficult to tell what actually slows down. It
might just be the fans, but I don't think so. When this happens, all
status lights remain lit, so it's not a complete power interruption.

I've never had a board act in this way, but this can't be a normal
phenomenon. The only differences between this system and it's
predecessor is the new Asus board and the removal of a PCI ethernet
card in favor of the on board LAN. All other peripherals are the
same, so the only difference in power drain would have to be caused by
the board.

Has anybody else experienced this wierdness?

Yeah, it happens to me, but doesn't seem to affect anything at all.
