I can't find information (from internet or from the User's Manual),
which is the fastest CPU that can be installed on Asus A7A266
Motherboard? Does anyone know?

At the moment I have AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1400MHz, but I want to have
a faster one.

Check here:

It looks like you need both a high motherboard revision level
("Rev x.xx" next to the motherboard name) and a recent BIOS
to use the newer processors. But, as always, a search in Google
will reveal what the users have achieved... It might be hard
to find a Palomino.
