Associations Lost?

Hello,

I was playing with the properties of Firefox 2.0 on my Start menu in
WinXP. I don't know what I did but I lost several program associations.
Several programs want to open in Firefox rather than the application
itself.

For example, opening Outlook Express opens in Firefox where it says
"You have chosen to open msimn.exe which is an application. Would you
like to save this file?"

Worse, Control Panel does the samething when I try to open some
applications such as System Restore. Again, it wants to download in
Firefox. So I can't even go back to a previous restore point.

Does anyone have an idea what I might try to fix this? Is there a way
to getting to system restore points in DOS?

Thanks a lot,

Bob

I fixed the problem. I found the method to access system restore from
DOS and it worked.

Sorry to be a bother.

Glad you got this resolved, Bob.
Alternately, you could use the method listed in this page:
